Key dates
- May 10, 2022 – Deadline to request an absentee ballot
- All residents of North Carolina are eligible for absentee voting.
- You can track your absentee ballot with BallotTrax.
- May 14, 2022 – In-person early voting ends at 3pm
- May 17, 2022 – Election Day and deadline for return of absentee ballots
- Absentee ballots must be received (not postmarked) by 5pm
- If a second primary is necessary, it will be held on one of two days in July.
