CHALT Workshop: “Act Locally to Address the Challenge of Global Warming”
Thanks to our speakers and to all who came out for the workshop and participated in the discussion. Among the speakers, Pete Andrews gave a thoughtful delivery about how a town can take local approaches to the challenge of global warming. Mayor Hemminger presented a Summary of the Work of Jordan One, an intercity collaboration to improve stormwater management. Council Member Hongbin Gu addressed approaches other communities are taking with land use, and Pamela Schultz addressed how individuals can take on responsibility themselves for a sustainable future. Mick Nicklas, of Innovative Design, gave a talk explaining how zero carbon buildings will help our planet. He has built many of them and is always an inspiring speaker.
