Let’s Work Together for Change in Orange County

As we start a new decade, we need to commit to doing better for our county.

  • Support education – with strong funding for programs, teachers, and school facilities
  •  Broaden the tax base – with economic development that includes good jobs, affordable housing, and convenient public transportation
  • Protect our environment – with clear evidence-based plans to address the impact of climate change and promote sustainability
  •  Promote equity – by dismantling barriers that prevent residents from attaining their full potential

I believe in collective action and that government can and should improve people’s lives. This has led to my careers as an economist and social worker, and to my service on the Chapel Hill Carrboro school board and community non-profit boards and committees. In these roles, I’ve advocated for my values and have been an agent of impactful change.

I am running for Orange County Commissioner, District 1. Primary, March 3, 2020.

As county commissioner, I will bring effectiveness and experience to forge a more equitable and sustainable Orange County that promotes the welfare of all residents.

With your help during campaign season, and at the polls on March 3, we’ll be able to successfully address the issues our county faces and build a bright future for us all.
