Subject: You’re Invited! Join Chapel Hill Transit for a Cyclist, Pedestrian, and Commuter Focus Group
Date: July 3, 2019 at 9:06:45 AM EDT
Good Morning: you may have already received an invite (below) and agreed to participate, if so, thank you. If you haven’t yet, please take a minute to review the following and consider joining us (or having someone from your organization join us) for this important community conversation regarding the North South Bus Rapid Transit project – as we reimagine how to improve mobility (including safe bike and pedestrian infrastructure) in this critical corridor. If you have any questions, please contact Matt Cecil and Caroline Dwyer (copied above).

We hope to see you there. Please feel free to share with others who may have an interest in this project.

Thank you,

Brian M Litchfield
Director
Chapel Hill Transit

We invite you to attend a cyclist, pedestrian, and commuter focus group for Chapel Hill Transit’s N-S Bus Rapid Transit (N-S BRT) project, now moving into the 30% design phase. Your expertise, feedback, and ideas will help shape and inform the design and development of the route, stations, amenities, and nearby areas.
Fill out this survey to indicate your availability for a focus group! You may RSVP for more than one focus group: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NS_BRT
The N-S BRT is a planned modern transit line along 8.2 miles of one of the town’s busiest corridors. N-S BRT will operate more hours per day and more days per week than the current system. All buses will feature level boarding and spaces for bikes. Additionally, a multiuse path is being planned along the majority of the corridor, enhancing cycle and pedestrian facilities on this key transportation route. Increased BRT bus ridership can even help decrease the number of drivers in the corridor, helping to mitigate increasing roadway congestion. For more information about the project, visit the project website, www.nsbrt.org<http://www.nsbrt.org>.

This focus group is a part of a series of community events taking place July 12-15. You may attend any or all of these events. A full schedule can be found at https://nsbrt.org/get-involved/public-meetings/.

We want to hear from you! Let us know if you can join a focus group by completing this survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NS_BRT>. You can attend more than one focus group.

Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
